A Life purpose is something many are seeking to enable them to live a more fulfilling life. Isn’t that what we all want? A fulfilling life that makes us happy all the time, not just occasionally.
So with the aim of helping those that are hoping to find a better life, I have put together 5 ways to help you find your life purpose.
We all need a purpose in life, a reason to get up and moving. But what is the actual meaning of Purpose.
verb (used with object), pur·posed, pur·pos·ing.
verb (used without object),pur·posed, pur·pos·ing.
So, what is a Life Purpose? We hear a lot about it now as more people realise that staying in a job they don’t like is not a good thing. Or maybe it’s not to do with a job but is more to do with the way you are.
It is very important if you want a life that’s fulfilled, happy, contented and gives you inner peace, to find your life purpose, something you are passionate about. Without knowing and living your life purpose you may end feeling constantly dissatisfied, changing jobs a lot, moving often, always seeking something but you don’t know what.
Here are 5 ways to help you find your life purpose:
Do What Comes Easy for You
To create the life you want, you have to uncover the deep and meaningful purpose you were born with. Make a list of all the things you most love to do, all your hobbies and interests too. This will make a good starting point.
Then you look through that list and put them in order of importance. Top the list with whatever you are most passionate about. What you are really looking for is something you have been drawn to for a long time, that you always go back to and couldn’t imagine life without.
While you will still need to develop your talents through hard work and practice, it should feel natural.
Follow Your Inner Guidance System
Every person has their own guidance system, otherwise known as intuition, that can help them get from where they are in life to where they want to go. For this to work, it needs to know the location where you are beginning and where you hope to end up. So a starting point and the end goal. Your personal navigation system figures out the rest.
All you have to do is to follow what your heart is telling you, for you to reach your destination.
Determine Where You Want to Go
To determine where you want to go all you need to do is clarify your vision and ensure your mindset is aimed in the right direction. Then lock in your future destination by setting out your goals and using positive affirmations and visualisation to set them in place.
Start a daily gratitude practice to bring happiness into your life which makes it easier to stay on course. Gradually you will find yourself setting interim goals to help define the path more clearly.
Be Clear About Your Life’s Purpose
After you’ve become clear about what you want in your life and you keep your mind focused on it, the how will show up. Be aware and look for the signs that will guide you in the right direction. You have to put in the effort, nothing will happen without it.
Your inner guidance system or intuition will tell you when you are drifting off course by the amount of happiness you are experiencing. Those things in your life that bring you the greatest joy are in alignment with your purpose and will help you get you where you want to go.
Happiness raises your vibration which aligns your energy with the universal flow. In a flow state everything falls into place exactly as it should. When you are out of flow, obstacles appear, doors close and everything becomes more of an effort than it needs to be.
Align Your Goals with Your Life Purpose
We all have unique talents and interests that tell us what we should be doing with our life. The trouble is that during our school lives we are taught differently and often guided into jobs that don’t make us happy. We are told to take the safe option, to conform, which eventually feels like a never ending treadmill. We become locked into the JOB just to get by. It does NOT have to be like that
Once you know your life purpose, you need to organise all of your activities around it. Everything that you do should be an expression of your purpose. If you are doing things that don’t align with your life purpose or you aren’t passionate about, don’t waste your time on them.
With the right tools, you can cultivate a mindset of success and discover your life’s purpose and transform your life into the one you really want to live.
I hope these 5 Ways to Help You Find Your Life Purpose helped you on your journey.
