For whatever reason, you now want to change things around so you can move toward the life you’ve always wanted. You have realised its possible to have a better life and now you want to know how to transform your life.

Luckily, it’s never too late!

  • to change in form, appearance, or structure; metamorphose.
  • to change in condition, nature, or character; convert.
  • to change into another substance; transmute.

See? Basically quite simple!

What you need to do!

1. Desire to changeChange your Life How to Transform Your Life

Change is something that we always yearn for but find hard to do. We tend to stay stuck in our comfort zones because it’s safe and familiar. We get used to thinking of anything outside it as being scary. The reality is that it isn’t so much scary as different.

When you feel a strong desire to alter the way you currently live, you’re a step closer to doing what’s necessary to live the life you really want. The more passionate you feel about changing your life, the more likely it is that you’ll do it. Realising that it is possible makes the first steps easier but it can be hard making bigger changes and keeping it going. If there is opposition that can make it more difficult.

The right mindset at this point goes a long way.

2. Recognize the life and work you want

Know what you want in life. Do you want to be a librarian, teacher, or sales person? Maybe you love all the crime shows on television and secretly want to learn how to do crime scene investigation. Do you want your own business? Are you thinking, with recent world events such as the pandemic, that you want to work from home? Your career largely determines the type of life you’ll have. Think about this carefully, consider your interests and do some research to decide the direction you want to go in. Choose well.

3. Gain knowledge

You’ve heard the expression, “Knowledge is power.” You can believe it because it really is. When you’re educated in the ways of those who live the kind of life you yearn for, you make it more possible for you to have that too.

Study those who do well in the field you want to be in, learn about their methods and work habits. Find out the steps they took to get there.

* Gather information. Take a course. Dive in to the internet. Seek knowledge to expand your mind and help you achieve your dreams.

4. Develop courageCourage

Life occasionally requires you to shore up your bravery in order to move forward. You’ll need to step out of your comfort zone from time to time.

This is the time to think big, don’t limit your ideas or your thinking. The only limits are those we impose upon ourselves and those can be made up from past conditioning. Ask yourself how much you want to earn. Take that amount and double it. Does that feel uncomfortable? No? Now double it again! Every time you feel uncomfortable about it ask yourself why?

That goes for anything, job/career, car, work, earnings and so on. Every time you think something is out of your league ask yourself why. Keep asking until you get an answer. This can often boil down to a Limiting belief that holds you back. Decide that you can do and be anything you want, there are no limits. Then believe it and believe in yourself.

* Let yourself fear the unknown and then go forward anyway. Sometimes, you have to pretend you have courage before you actually get courage.

5. Get the support of family and friends

Although it’s possible to transform your life without support, when you have a tight network of people who love and care for you, changing your life is a bit easier. It’s good to have someone cheering you on, someone who will commiserate when you feel low and will push your forwards when you want to give up.

That sort of person or those sort of people are what you need for support. People who believe in you and will support you every step of the way, be happy for you and be right there celebrating your successes with you.

6. Maintain an open mind.Keep an open mind

Keep your mind open to any possibility that might lead you to where you want to go and what you hope to accomplish. When you are heading in the right direction you should be going in opportunities often appear and obstacles disappear as if by magic.

Anytime it seems like an uphill struggle is time for an evaluation. Right down what is difficult ad see if a slight change would make it more straightforward. Sometimes that’s all it takes. Keep that mind open for ideas that arise that perhaps you hadn’t considered or directions you once wouldn’t have dreamt of going in. Stay open and pay attention.

7. Nurture a sense of adventure.

When things don’t go your way, consider those unpredictable situations as adventures. Who knows what you might experience that leads to a transformed, fulfilling life?

Life itself is an ongoing adventure. It should be fun and exciting, keeping you curious about what will happen next. Embrace it all, explore new avenues and challenges as you cast off the constraints of other people’s limits and explore your freedom.

8. Change People and Placeschange & transformation

You also have to be prepared to change the people and places in your life if it’s necessary. If your life hasn’t been heading in the direction you want it to go, perhaps it has something to do with the people you spend your time with.

People can hold you back or even try to actively stop you moving forward for one reason or another. Sometimes it’s fear that you will be successful and leave them behind. Often it’s fear of their own lives changing.  Some people loudly proclaim they want success but do nothing and you making changes to improve your life, make them look bad.

Evaluate the people in your life and bring closer those who help and encourage you. Perhaps step back from those that try to put you off.

Make changes and transform your life

If you want to dramatically change your life, use these strategies to get started. You can transform your life into the existence of your dreams. Are you ready to go for it?

It can be tough  at times but worth it in the long run. Transformation takes time and work on yourself and your life. It’s exciting as the changes take place but can be sad as people fall away not liking your improved life.

Some people are in our lives for a while, some bring good lessons, others bring not so good lessons. All are learning curves in the game of life.

The most important people though, stay and travel with you  on the rollercoaster of change.

  1. I have always wanted to be a better person, for my life to be more good than the way it is right now, my childhood was a tough one and I didn’t get the life I wanted and because of that I actually have low self esteem. Right now I want a changed of life, I really desire the change and I want to to develop self confidence for myself so that I will be bold. I really want my life to be and I would like you to help me develop it while I am on this platform, thanks.

    • A difficult childhood often leads to low self esteem and feelings of not being good enough. Thankfully it is possible to overcome past conditioning and there is much help available.

It is easy to start by getting into the habit of being grateful for what you have. When you make a list when you first wake up, either in your head or on paper, it changes your whole day and makes you feel happy.

Once you begin, one thing leads to another and gradually you change and your life changes for the better.

  3. First off, i must commend the writer of this piece, it’s so apt. I like that it was broken down into action points. To me transformation is a mind game, if you win in the mind, you definitely would win in real life, the only problem i have with some people is that they become so optimistic that everything they have read up should just work in a short time frame, it’s good to be optimistic, but also be realistic, because some people would intentionally and unintentionally ruin your efforts. It’s up to you to know when to avoid some people. You’re your priority. Just one question for the writer, what do you do when your immediate family members make jest at you when they start observing that you’re working on yourself?

    • I am glad you liked the post. Transforming any aspect of your life is about mindset I agree, without the right mindset, you won’t get to where you want to be.

Instant gratification is a problem as people expect anything to work instantly. Self development is a life long project to bring peace, happiness and wellbeing to your life.

A side effect  is a knowing that what other people think is no longer important. You realise that what is important is being true to yourself regardless of what others think. When you reach that zone others opinions have no effect at all.

Even better is that after a time those others in your life start wanting to know what you are doing because of the wonderful effect it has.
